Hi Brent,

I just wanted to send a picture of our puppy that we bought from you this summer. She was Belle's #1 puppy. She is such a great dog and we have really enjoyed having her.

Hi Brent:

I am now 15 months old and I wanted to check in and see how you are. I am fine and loving my family. Tricia and Lee take good care and exercise me very regulary. I now weigh 56lbs. and am really lean. I had my one year checkup with the vet last month and he pronounced me healthy and very fit. I have a nice backyard to run in and rule the house. Here is a recent Pic. Please send my love to my real parents Gustav and Roxie.

Lots of Licks!

Hi Brent,

Just a note to tell you that Mattie is doing great. She is so smart! We are enjoying her. She is still hyper mostly around the kids, but she seems to enjoy being part of our family. She likes to be outside most of the time. She is often found sunning herself on the bank in our back yard. She has learned several commands and obeys them well, especially when rewarded with treats!

I cannot tell you how many people stop us and ask about her when we are out in public. She definitely draws attention. Her markings are really nice and people tell us how beautiful she is all the time!

My son took Mattie to show and tell at school and "wowed" them with her obeying commands and fetching her stuffed duck. She did well.

Sending a photo along for you to see her. She had been romping in the leaves with the kids.

Take care,

Patty Auwarter

Hi, Brent. Just a quick note to let you know that Sadie, female #2 from your May litter is doing wonderfully. Sadie is over 25 lbs now and has shown no health problems. She is growing right before our eyes and has developed into a strikingly beautiful dog. She gets tons of compliments on her beauty and is very friendly. She has learned the sit, stay, lay down, come, and go crate commands already, and I'm looking forward to teaching heel in preparation for her becoming my running partner in a few months. I'm very proud of her, she has been a joy to me and is everything I had hoped for.

Best Wishes,

Jason Knight, Richmond, VA

Hello! I just want to tell you that I have exhausted the internet and am most impressed with your dogs! I plan to buy a German shorthaired pointer but not until my current dogs (all loveable mutts!) pass to the next life. Most of them are old, but they are all in good health!

I have always loved German shorthairs; there were 3 in the town where I grew up, and I would play with them all of the time! I hope you are still in business when I am ready to buy my own German shorthair! Your dogs are SPECTACULAR!!!!

Brent,

Just wanted to send you a few pictures of Tess. She has stolen our hearts and is a big part of our family. She has learned to sit, stay, and come (here). She will "fetch it" and " bring it" as long as you are willing to throw a tennis ball or dummy. She will point the "fishing pole bird " as long as you are willing to play. She went in the water for her first retrieve at three months. The dummy was bigger than she was, but she grabbed the rope and hauled it in. Of course we didn't have a camera. We never dreamed she would follow our son's Shorthair so readily into the water. We will soon be building a training table and whoa post. As you know, our two sons have three Shorthairs. We hope to take everyone hunting.

Thanks a million. We wanted you to know she is well loved.

Brent,

I know it has been a while since I came to pick up Finley, back in September, but I have been busy with work and with her at night playing. I just wanted to let you know that she is doing well and is very happy (and spoiled rotten)-but thats okay, she needs to be that way. She is treated just like a child in my family and when I go home to see my parents in Pinehurst, NC, (Dean/Elizabeth Batchelor) she goes with me to play with Dixie (Hairshort GSP who is almost 9 years old now), they love each other and love to play. Finley will be 6 months old January 21st and is growing so fast. She has gotten a lot more tick marks on her, especially around her legs/paws, but has grown into a very beautiful dog and I get SO many compliments on her when we are out walking/playing. She loves playing with other dogs and has 2 boxer friends (Ali and Jake) as well as a Golden Retreiver friend named Max, which she plays with them every day after I get off work for at least an hour, running around and fetching the frisbee/ball. She has knows how to sit and stay now, as well as being housebroken by age 12 weeks, goes to the door and sits when she has to go out, and if you dont get there in time enough for her, she lets you know by turning around and giving you a nice bark (it is so cute). She has a great personality and loves to be around people, especially if they are giving her any type of attention (i.e. rubbing her ears). She has gotten into the habit of being my "protector" and barks at any signs of danger :-). I am planning on getting her spayed within the next 2 months and plan on taking good care of her. Just wanted to let you know that Finley is doing well in Raleigh, NC and loves her new home. I love her like a child and she is very important to me, so feel comforted to know that she is already spoiled rotten and is a very GOOD dog. Hope to hear from you soon!

Sincerely,
Lauren Lewis

Brent,

Just wanted to give you an update on our GSP. Ever since we got him from you in early September of 2003, he has been a real pleasure to own. Fritz (named after his father), is the best dog I've ever had. He is gentle with my kids, has an EXCELLENT temperment, and points like a champ.

GSP's are rare in these parts ( S.W. Virginia) and get get comments about him daily. I have attached a nice pic for you, as you can see, he is almost mature, has a beautiful point and markings. Thanks again for our GREAT dog.

Sincerely,
Steve Bonney

Dear Brent,

Hope your holidays went well. Just wanted to let you know that our puppy (got him from you around thanksgiving time) is doing great! He has gotten so big--at last check he was 21 lbs. We named him Atticus and he is full of energy and fun.

Thanks again for our little addition to the family.

Take care,

Cindy and Brendan Moylan

Brent,

We thought that you would like an update on how Drake (liver and white) and Major (Roan and black) are doing. We attached 4 recent pictures of the pups. The pictures were taken at Falls Lake gamelands in a dove field. Unfortunately, we did not find any birds that day. However, the pups pointed grasshoppers very well and backed each other. We took the pups to an upland bird shooting preserve on 6 Nov 2004. They were introduced to game birds for the first time - they were 15 1/2 weeks old at that time. Both pups sight and scent pointed. The pups are going to be great hunters. They are doing fine and have adjusted to life in this area. We have taken them to the mountains twice and they have really enjoyed their time there. We'll send some pictures of them pointing game birds when we have some. We hope that you enjoy your trip to South Dakota.
